I AM AN URBANIST -- A POEM BY ME Imagine all that we've lost. Because the government doesn't consider the cost, to those living in urban neighborhoods, people who lack access to public goods. I am an urbanist, I am an idealist. Their communities are under attack, As they struggle to "take it back." Like a feather, we are gossamer until we work together. Wings beating against gales of hate To end poverty and homelessness, through empathy and largesse. I am an urbanist, I am an idealist. Time to rise up and make change, take risks and expand the range. Seek progressive actions; disembark from separatist factions. No more ambivalence towards racism. There's power in people, there's power in place. I am an urbanist, I am an idealist.
